The Haute Ecole de la Santé La Source, located in Lausanne, trains future nurses and offers continuing and postgraduate education. With its new premises in the Beaulieu district, this school has state-of-the-art facilities. The school includes a simulated hospital with hospital rooms, apartments for home care, and simulation rooms.
The technologies that equip this state-of-the-art building were developed through collaboration between the teams of La Source School of Nursing and Projection Nouvelle. A proof of concept was carried out in the client’s old building to test the possibilities and needs of students and professors.
In total, Projection Nouvelle completed the audiovisual installations for three simulation rooms, multiple classrooms, two audiovisual control rooms, and several information screens.
The client wanted audio and video signals to be transmitted in each room. Projection Nouvelle’s expertise and AMX’s SVSI technology enabled this requirement to be met.
Ceiling microphones were installed in the simulation rooms, along with four cameras to avoid blind spots and allow for perfect transmission and recording of sound and image. When students practice on connected actors or mannequins, recording and transmission via Teams or Skype is possible.
This achievement was nominated among the finalists in the “Healthcare” category of the Inavation Awards in 2020, a prestigious international competition.
An article exclusively dedicated to this installation, detailing the requirements and technical specifications of the project, also appeared in the Inavate Magazine in November 2019.
